Thanks, onawhim. I just need to exercise, and I'm really frustrated with myself. "Just do it" doesn't work. And meri, 5 AM for you is 4 AM for me - My alarm goes off at 4:50 every day. I take my temp and then roll over and go back to sleep.
I can't work out in the morning either. Once I accepted that life got much easier

Evening workouts would be nice, but it's just not realistic. By the time Reid goes to bed, it's 8 PM and that 6-8 time is all we get with him all day. And in a few weeks, it'll be too damn hot to run even at 8.
I'm in Austin - so it's pretty blazing hot here most of the year. Lunchtime workouts - there's no gym near me where I can go and hit a treadmill, take a shower, and get back on time. Running outside at lunch would be suicidal, both because of the heat and where I work. I don't know anyone who'd be willing to get up and go at the same time, sadly. I need a really good time-specific reward, I think. And I can't come up with a goddamn thing I want that badly.Gym near the house doesn't open early enough. The heat is one thing - 115 in the shade is another.
