I think what puts me off most about that "goulash" is the shininess.  It's like she tried to thicken a watery tomato sauce with corn starch.  :vomit:

I thought that too, then thought maybe it's just the quality of the sauce she bought? So I went to see if she also posted a recipe. Lo and behold:

I mean-- why. Why would you eat that? It doesn't have to be fancy. Just used a can of tomatoes instead of soup, lady!

That does *not* sound like one tasty Goulash to me! I'd have to be high as a kite to eat that recipe and enjoy it.

Dorothy has made Jello Bread Pudding:



Jello Bread Dessert
....................................
Mix in bowl;
4 - packs Jello
2 - cups hot water
2 - cups cold water
Let cool
.........................................
Place slices of bread with crust cut off in a 9 x 16 pan,Pour Jello over bread slices,Put in fridge and let set for 3 - 4 hours,
....................................................................
Then add whip cream or cool whip on top,put back in fridge to let set,you can make your own whip cream if you wish.

That goulash sounds a lot like the goulash you would find in South Dakota pot lucks and school lunches in the 70s and 80s. That bread pudding recipe is making me a bit queasy.

Jello bread pudding is an abomination.

First of all, there should be no jello.  Second of all, there should be butter and bourbon.  And eggs and probably milk and sugar.  I don't remember what all, but definitely not jello.

My mom used to make a jello dessert with red grapes and pecans and cool whip, and I thought it was the bomb. It might have had cream cheese in it as well.

The husband has fond memories of pistachio pudding mix, whipped cream, and crushed pineapple mixed together. Its not bad, not great, but not bad.
