Sagan Threepeats!

Wow, that was a nail biter on Sunday.  Sagan found a way to do it again and will be wearing the rainbow jersey next season.  I guess this makes it easy on his team's kit designer.

I think I've finally reached "I don't care about pro cycling any more".

But I can still like Sagan without liking pro cycling.

I finally got around to watching the race [ALL of them actually: the TTTs, the ITTs, and Men's & Women's Elite Roads]

How does he do it? It's like he has an invisibility cloak or something. He essentially has NO teammates, no leadout, he just hangs around nearish the front, out of trouble, jumps into the lead group in the last corner and goes for it

Nice of him to dedicate the win to Scarponi

I didn't hear that he dedicated the win to Scarponi.  That's cool.

Oh, tattooing your face onto yourself is a bit much for me.  Peter, I think our bromance may be dying.

And he didn’t have a heart attack. RIP Michael Goolaerts.

So many crashes at PR, no? Riding those crazy cobbles looks massively uncomfortable. I had to pass over more regular cobbles sometimes riding my bike growing up, but these are a whole different thing.

George, what was your fave PR memory ? Was it the time you tried to ride it without handlebars ?

I read an interview with the second place finisher and was really interested in hearing what he said it was like following Sagan through the cobbles.  Apparently Sagan doesn't brake for the corners in the cobbles - he just lets up a bit and then puts the hammer down after the corner.

It was pretty cool to watch. The kid would take pulls on the pavement, but when they hit the cobbles he would just hang on for dear life.
It worked for him/them.

I like to read about these young riders having success.
