Big local grocery store.

That peanut butter plus the bars are probably around $20 - $25 right there.

$31.44. There WAS a sale on Kind bars. But still this was low enough to shock me and I'm accustomed to the low prices on produce here.

Indeed, having this grocery store within a 10 minute walk is one significant reason why I never want to move.

I'm also pretty happy about it because I have become less lazy about cooking lately, which means more vegetables, and vegetables are, generally speaking, really cheap.

That is a very good price. More important, though: what are you cooking?

Nice!  My guess was $36.83.  Oddly specific?  Perhaps.  :D

Two dishes, some of the ingredients for which I had in hand

Tofu red curry (tofu, coconut milk, lime juice, garlic, fish sauce, basil, yellow bell pepper, a red onion, the two thai chiles, beet greens)
Spring vegetable quinoa pilaf (quinoa, beets, cannelini beans, beets, broccoli, red and green bell peppers, green onions, asparagus, garlic, and Parmesan)

less than $32 is very impressive,  I decided to estimate based on sale prices here what that would cost me and I came up with nearly $50

and the beets would have to be red, because you can't buy golden ones here except at one farm market that is closed right now

Round 2, yesterday. One bunch of green onions and one bunch of Italian parsley (maybe 2 cups including stems)

$0.74

Veggies are way cheaper than fruit.

But not all kind bars are created equal. I only ever get the ones that have 5g or less of sugar. Which include none of the 4 varieties the FDA cited.

What matters more to me, in this case, is that the company placed misleading information on some of its products, rather than the fact that some bars are affected and others not.

is it really misleading though, or just non-regulation?  my interpretation was that he guidelines may be out of date and because the guidelines have to be general, it might not be possible to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy on component nutrients alone (i.e. not all saturated fats are created equal)
