Ice and snow packed 7 miles on bike paths wrapping around a couple lakes. 17 feels like 3, but the ambient temperature was warmer than it was most of last week so it did not feel too bad.

Warmer today and we're going to get 3-6" of snow later today and tomorrow, that will make the ski trails better but footing a little worse for running.

It was about the same temperature here, 20°F and a little breezy. But I did get to run in the daylight so it was a good 6.25 miles. I am definitely feeling better than I had been, the feeling of having done too many squats is almost gone. Going to try running back my 5x1 mile threshold workout tomorrow night.

Worked a Santa Shuffle race this afternoon. We were short staffed, so a lot of solo lifting of equipment. Got out for 8.65K after getting home.

Glad you were feeling well.

10 miles on the treadmill. I had a 13 mile run planned outside but my union contract vote took all day 10 miles on a treadmill for me is like 20 miles outside lol

First run after Friday’s chemo infusion. Did a 3 mile fartlek run. Felt really well rested and ready to pick up where I left off.  Weather was off and on mist and bit warmer at 50°F.

I did 8.6 and somehow found the one lone stretch of plowed bike path on an 18 mile stretch rail trail. The rest had about 2" of fresh snow and was not a great surface. Did most of my warm up on that but returned to the clear path and did 5X 4 min tempo. Paces off by 20 sec/mile compared to October. So either I'm out of shape, it was generally cold (18 F), or still feeling the effect of the head cold I have had for a week now. I think all three apply.

4.2 miles in the glorious sun! Felt better than last night but still sore. Wondering if I'm low key sick.

I did not get the work out in that I wanted. I was sore to start and didn't think I was going to be up to it but I gave it a go. I ended up with a 2 mile warm up, 2xmile at threshold with 200 meter jog, and about a 2 mile cool down. Total of 6.49 miles. The plan was for 5xmile at threshold but there was just no way it was happening, I started the cool down after the 2nd repeat.

I was beating myself up about it but I live to run another day!
