I have been doing mostly broken tempo runs (repeats of 3-6 minutes) but have a half marathon next month so did 2x18 at HMP + 5 or 10. Felt decent. Air quality was in the lower 100s, which isn't great.

Run back home from a evening meeting. 11.3K with about 100 meters worth of climbing and hot, sweaty temps.

Messed up my back last Thursday and had chemo Friday so hadn’t run since last Wednesday.  Of course today was hottest run day here so far. Did slow as F but steady 4 miles. Back loosened up considerably over the course and feels much less pissy now. I hate it when I miss runs.

Yes - part of me longs for the days of driving the route to get the distance, taking note of the time when I left the house, and again when I got back.  That was my fitness tracker :D

I still catch myself resetting the distance in my car to get the mileage of a route that looks intriguing.

Isn't it funny how we are concerned about our fitness trackers working or not working? Today I did 6.74 miles and Fitbit recorded it but Strava has me at 4.94 miles even though it grabs all its data from Fitbit.

I was thinking about that too but in a way where I'm in much better shape than when I was younger. Had I tried to run 6.74 miles when I was 25 no way would I have made it let alone had a good time. It's so hard to get back into it and I'm glad I'm there! Glad to have you here Rio.

Trail running is super fun!

I did 4 miles in town. I was on call for work so I had to run somewhere that I would have service on my cell phone. It was about 80°F and cloudless skies around 11:30AM.

This is, for all intents and purposes, from scratch.  I was with a run club but schedules changed and I had to stop and just stopped altogether.  That was well over a year ago now.

My impetus was my trip to Scotland and all the amazing trails I saw.  I want to be in shape to run them.

Super short 3 or 4 k as per my new Garmin overlords instructions.  I messed it up trying to make the music work so it didn't track properly, but I done it.

Years ago I remember a ch'er saying how humbling it was to go from running marathons to barely gutting out 3 miles.  I can concur, it is humbling.  Not that I was running marathons but it wasn't so long ago that halfs were a fun Sunday morning.

Nice to see getting started again Rio. Is this Day1 from scratch or are you training for something this fall or winter?

I did a long (2.5 hr) run on Sunday. Very humid and not terribly pleasant. Wasn't awful, but challenging and I was completely soaked in the first hour.
