Nice that the finish was indoors on a yucky day.

4 miles. Bit chillier and pretty hilly route, but still dry.

Running / Rocket City Marathon won by a first-time marathon runner

I can't run anymore, and I didn't volunteer (most of my weather-appropriate gear is too small anymore) this year, but cool story re my local marathon. (He is not from here; he's from a neighboring state). Zander-Velloso Enjoys Winning Debut at 49th Rocket City Marathon - Tennessee Valley Outsider

Weather was right around freezing with 15mph winds.  It sucked.  I have friends who volunteered and the runners couldn't open their own gu at the aid stations (neither could the volunteers, so scissors) because their hands were too cold.

Took a personal day to get some farm work done and got to enjoy a run in the sun. 5.25 miles and 6 uphill strides for 5.8 miles total.

Was actually pretty warm out too, was 40°F by the time I got home.

Ran an easy 5.4 miles, mostly ice free for the first time in three weeks. The warming spell has cleared the paths except for a few spots.
I was fighting a cold for about two weeks and then it turned into a sinus infection so now I'm taking antibiotics.

Well I plugged a goal 25k trail race in to chat gpt and today was day 1.  It's not until October so it's a slow ramp up.

I will say I like how it spit out the training plan.  4 phases including a taper at the end.  It feels really doable.

Warmer day here, just above freezing for my morning 7K commute run. Back still hurting a bit, so subway and 2K walk home.

Getting colder here again. It was 43° today for my 3 miles but once again I was able to get it done during a dry period between rain storms.

Did morning 7K commute. Back was a little sore from yesterday's slip and fall, and right shin was a little tight. So it was slower than usual, along with lots of ice patches on the secondary roads. Hip spasm on me just once jumping a snow bank.

Skipped running all the way home, just 2K easy from the subway station.
