Food / Re: Holiday baking and other food prep

I'm bailing on my folks for Thanksgiving (invited them to MY HOUSE for a different day & will smoke a pork loin for that).  Anyway, I'm on my own for Thanksgiving.  I might try to smoke a small turkey breast?  (Electric smoker).  Anything I need to know?  (Obv I'll go search the whole internet).  The only meat I've ever smoked is pork loin, which has a wider threshold of not being undercooked.  Do I brine or inject the turkey breast?  I don't want it to be dry.  I was also thinking about making a Conecuh (smoked sausage) dressing (stuffing - except that I'm not stuffing it anywhere but my face).

Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo sets new 15K world best time at the NN Zevenheuvelenloop race today in the Netherlands, finishing in an astoundingly-fast 40:43.

Average pace of two minutes and 44 seconds per kilometre for 15K

One thing I always meant to buy during our golden era of bread baking, but never did, was one of those things for slicing bread that are basically miter boxes.

I am a terrible freehand slicer and always made the most wonky looking (but delicious) slices.

That's actually what I ended up with. My wife knew I was looking and bought it for me. Now I'm just not sure what to strap it to haha

Borrow one of DW bras.

Have you seen some of the waist lamps?
Supposedly they are better at guiding you and they don’t shine into other runners faces.

This isn’t mine, because I’m still enjoying coffee in bed and too lazy to go take a picture of the loaf I made last night :D

But it’s pretty much what the loaves look like. This is a 2lb loaf. The machine also has the option to do 1.5lbs which makes for a little shorter loaf. But we’ve been using this for sandwiches and like it.

My first loaf was weirdly shaped. They called it a ski slope shape. One end was tall and the other short. I started adding an extra T of water and that seems to have fixed it.
