Morningstar Crumbles

I found a recipe with these in - what are they? I'm guessing they replace minced or ground meat, would quorn be a close match?

yes, quorn crumbles are an excellent match.  it's the veg version of ground beef, kind of like tvp.

you're welcome.  I prefer Boca brand or Quorn to Morningstar Farms crumbles.

I love the morningstar farms crumbles.  I find them closest to ground beef in texture and flavor.  But, I haven't eaten ground beef in almost 30 years, so I don't really know for sure.

I like them better than any of the others on the market.  I use them for tacos & chili.  :)

I just use lentils now, and have seen recipes using walnuts as well.

That is what I was going to suggest as well. I'm not a huge fan of tvp-type crumbles.

I generally use lentils or beans instead of minced or ground meat but needed to know what these were.

I use kidney beans with the crumbles.  I love it!

I'm allergic to walnuts.
