« on: July 12, 2013, 08:59:16 AM »
Has this stuff been discussed yet?  DD1 had bought some online a few months ago and liked it. I just found it at Walmart and tried this am.

I like it!!!! 45 calories for 2 TBL spoons of pnut butter is great!!!

Anyone else tried it?

hmmm... first I've heard of it.

Wonder why they add sugar?
People put a lot less effort into picking apart evidence that confirms what they already believe.

The money is in the division. Always has been, always will be. Divide and rule, the politician cries; unite and lead, is the watchword of the wise.

I like it. I use it in baking, cooking, oatmeal, etc. Not something i would necessarily use in a PB&J.

That stuff creeps me out a little bit, though I guess it's basically peanut butter with the oil removed.  My mom has some similar stuff in her food storage, since the fat is removed it is more shelf stable.  I have used it before in oatmeal, but I wasn't crazy about it.  I like having a bit of fat in my oatmeal, it helps keep me full longer.  Really the only other thing I use peanut butter for is PBJ's, and I don't think I'd use PB2 for those because texture matters more than in oatmeal or something.

As far as adding sugar, most regular pb has sugar added.  Natural peanut butter doesn't though.

No and it is a bit higher in fat...but it is a reduced fat and calorie peanut butter.
