Happy new year!

I have just eaten my face off...chicken parm, several glasses of red wine, many rolls hot from the oven...prosecco with Chambord, apple pie, ice cream...

Tomorrow is a new day!

Yesterday I had two slices of pie, and then spent all night being miserably guilty about it. I don't know wtf is wrong with me.
I don't have time for laundry; I'm trying to have a great life.

Only feel guilty if each slice was half the pie. Otherwise, what's done is done. No guilt, move on!

Sooo hard when home all day. I was giving DD some coconut ice cream and i was literally drooling/mouth watering. I did not even lick the spoon.

Absolutely - no beating ourselves up over what's done. Just focus on making better choices now that all the holiday temptations are past. Good times ahead.  :)

I heard this piece this morning on NPR - thought it was really interesting. Clearly I'm not losing weight right now, but still... come June or so, I'm going to keep this in mind!

11:30 and i ate my lunch :( eating healthy, for me, is hard to not be hungry. Breakfast, as usual, is the hardest meal and i am always hungry early on. I need to just buck up and eat lunch/dinner foods for breakfast, i think it will keep me fuller longer. I had a bit of oatmeal and actually a slice of baked tofu, but that was 3-4 hours ago.

Yeah, I need to improve my breakfasts, too. Not right this second, though - too much going on. I'll think on it this month and try to come up with a plan for Feb, maybe.

I heard that piece this morning, too.
So as expected I'm feeling overfed today.  I was pretty good overall (but still eating a bit more than normal) until NYE/NY Day when I just snacked on little things all day that added up.

On my way home from dropping DD at school, I swung into Earth Fare and picked up a package of snow peas and a bunch of juicy fruit (e.g., oranges, strawberries).  I know my body will want me to graze today so I'll mostly snack on the snow peas plus some of the lighter fruit and then tomorrow I can start to bring my calories back down to where I want them for weight loss.

I'm still hungry.  I knew this would happen: I had a Rudi's bagel flatz w/ a slice of cheese for breakfast, a ton of snow peas and a light string cheese.  My body's just going to have to suffer today.
I may post a lot in this thread to take my mind off.  :>D:

I hear ya, D.  I had a baked potato and about 1/3 of a Wendy's chili for lunch.  I'll be hungry in like 30 min.

:) Courtney.  Misery loves company.

oops, didn't actually mention lunch:

I love this line of frozen dinners for days when I squeeze a run/lifting on my lunch break and don't have time to prepare more.  But today, the calories aren't cutting it.  LOL.

Did someone say nachos?

I had leftover chicken parm from NYE for lunch. It was just a small portion and I felt it was my duty to eat it up so it did not go to waste. Now that's done, thank goodness.  :D
