oh good! Glad everything turned out ok, Diablita.

Meri, that sucks about your insurance. DH and I are on two different plans with two different carriers as well. I hope you get approved. Talking with the underwriters was so stressful for me, because I didn't want to say anything that would cause them to deny me coverage, and I didn't want to lie either because they scare you by using words like fraud and stuff. :(

Meri, I don't know how you do it. We go with mr. cgraz's plan (I have joked for years that I married him for the vision plan/dental plan/health insurance) but it isn't that great. (Don't get me started on how nothing was covered for our IVF and we can't afford to pay out of pocket to do it again.) Having to juggle 3 plans sounds complicated, but if it works out for better coverage, that is a good thing.

I have been ordering/returning bathing suits like crazy this year in anticipation of 2 weeks at the beach later this month. It sucks. There's no point for me to go to the store, since along with the rest of me, my bosoms have also grown in size and ordering DD tops is a must (and even those don't always work out).

So after yesterday's sushi splurge, one thing I noticed was that I was hit with that major carb coma feeling and was sluggish later in the afternoon. I have also noticed that since cutting down on sweets, I am not feeling that sugar crash feeling. Overall, eating better makes me feel better. Why do I not believe and appreciate this more when I am in the throes of making food choices?

well, DH took his new job without finding out about the benefits and really shot us in the foot. the plan is crap, the not crap plan would be 1/2 his income  :o so this hopefully will all work out. his old HR woman told us Cobra would cost us $600/mo but it is over $1800, as that was his plan.

So, we'll see how these online purchases work out! If they don't, I'm screwed, because I'll only have a few days to revamp my packing list and get replacement stuff.  :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic:

Scale is holding steady - up a tiny bit this morning, but that's not a surprise, given we had pizza last night for dinner and my period is due any second.

I need to shop for some swimming shorts, because I've officially talked my DH and his cousin into paddleboarding, and I don't need my ass in the air in my my swimsuit bottom.  Have you all had luck with those?  Do they have a liner/panty under them?  I'm going to go check out target/walmart to see what I can find, but I'll probably end up ordering something.

I've never bought any - can't find any in my size right now - but I think the vast majority do have a liner/panty.

I'm normally very "I don't give a shit about how I look in a bathing suit because I'll be using it to swim" but in this case, I'd like to not be pulling my suit bottoms out of my ass crack every time I fall off the board, and a tiny bit of coverage on my ass would be a good thing.  :D

I was going to maybe order one from Lands End if I can't find something locally.  I need to get on it, tho, because it's not far away.

Don't know what size you are, but I bought a suit from LE last night and they're low on a lot of colors and styles. I ended up getting a one-piece and I hope the damn thing fits!

i just wear the swim skirts. i saw some the other day, i think at Target and at Sears (i was looking at Lands End, but they only had size 2 and 22, this was not in the Lands End section).

I am exhausted. DD is killing me. The past two nights she just would not go to sleep. I was so exhausted yesterday and i lost my patience with her. I am just dead tired and DH's solution? have her sleep in our bed. Um, that would not help, she just does not want to go to sleep. I do not know why. But I am exhausted and can barely move. I was going to do a short run today, but I just spent a lot of time on the CHIP application to get that in this afternoon for DD. Ugh. I am getting a massage at 1pm. 90 minutes  :heartbeat:

Meri, what's happening with her? Is she refusing to sleep if you're in her room? If you leave her alone? Sleep issues make me insane. I'm a raving bitch unless I get good rest. We're still dealing with the aftereffects of a nightmare Reid had over 2 weeks ago. It's killing me.

I actually got my butt out of bed to run this morning and did 5 milesw even though I am sore and wanted to just go back to bed. Right now the landscapers are out finishing the backyard so by tonight we will have a lovely yard with grass! Yay!!!!!

Oh and my (hopefully) final dress fitting is tonight. That sucker better fit right this time. After $500 worth of alterations I will be pissed if it doesn't fit like a damn glove. I still want to kill them for ordering it too big...

i usually lay in her bed with her until she falls asleep. it usually takes about 5-10 mins after finishing our books, etc. The past two nights it was well over 90 minutes. Last night i was so beyond exhausted that i kept dozing off and she kept waking me. She is tossing and turning and then picking her nose and playing, etc. I ended up just sleeping in there because i was too tired to move, though i wake up a stiff mess. if i leave her in there she flips the fuck out and then DH gets mad at me that she is flipping out. Seriously? He has done ZERO nighttime parenting, except for one miserably failed night when she was like 1 month old. I am just really really cranky today. I have so much to do between now and when we leave and just not enough time. I am not sure why she is doing this, she did it at nap time yesterday too.  :argh: :argh: :argh:

Ooooh, I would throw. down. with DH if he gave me shit about stuff like that. Can you warn him that this isn't working and you're going to have to maybe take a tougher approach? That is, of course, assuming that you're willing to do that?

omg and DH just emailed me a car at work he wants to buy. it is a tiny little VW golf with 2 doors, just a month ago he was crying about needing a bigger car (he has a forester) and wanted a pickup truck.  :argh: :argh: i was like, is it 4WD? when it snows, i need to go to work and the subaru is the only way i can get there. I am ready to just crawl into bed and wake up tomorrow, except i have to go to work and i have a really busy day, which is good, but i am just tired!

nope. cause it has been set that she only wants me at night. i sent him there a few weeks ago when i felt like i was on my death bed and she flipped out worse.

That was my reacton but it was either pay it or wear a dress that I paid a lot of money for that was 3 sizes too big. I don't know what the fuck was wrong with their size chart...it pisses me off...a lot.

What would he do if you took a tougher approach - where you did the hard part, like you already do, but it might mean that she loses her shit for a few nights while you work on it?

And MM, it's not unusual for bridal stores to do that. The alterations are where they make the money, unfortunately. :(
