OMG, Dev, I'm SO glad he's okay! How scary! I'm DFW-ing today. Stupid period. We also had Mexican food last night, so I'm sure that's not helping, AND I'm sore from the yard work. Not excruciatingly sore (yay! the workouts must be helping!), but enough that I'm like, "Ooooh, haven't used those muscles like that in a while."

Dev, thank goodness he carries the epi pen with him.  Scary stuff.
Meri...good morning!
Deb...yard work always gets me. Especially weeding.
cgraz...is there sugar in the dd iced coffee?  I usually dont count coffee unless it has milk in it. I loved iced coffee on a hot day.

So did Magic Microbe leave for real? I hope not...

I have today off, yay. We are talking about heading out to SUP and practice with the dogs, but it is a super foggy morning and hard to motivate.
Yesterday I went to spin, and my eating was good. I managed to lose a pound between weigh in's so I am feeling some spark of motivation.

I am sure we will head out soon to play, and hopefully I will get a workout in this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone.

Mouse, questions on SUP!  Do I need a lesson?  Or could I rent the stuff and go play around?

Yeah, we pruned the rosebushes (they looked like crap), ripped out the dead shrubs in front of the house, scrubbed the shutters that had been hidden by the dead shrubs and were nasty looking, fed and watered the hell out of the roses, and then spread six bags of mulch over the roses and then in the area where the shrubs were. And cleaned up 95% of the mess we made.

Courtney...you could totally rent the stuff and play around on it. Start on your knees to get the feel of the board, and then stand up. Viola!  Just be sure to ask what direction the paddle should face!  I see a lot of people with the paddle angled the wrong way.
It is really ver easy...especially on lakes, etc.

I'm flipping exhausted. :) But we had a limited amount of time to get it done, because the next two weeks are all about getting ready to leave for vacation on the 22nd. And luckily, the dead shrubs were REALLY dead, so we could literally grab the base and rip them out with our hands.

Also, I just thought I'd mention how happy I am that cherries are in season right now. These things are AWESOME. The only thing that makes he happier is Honeycrisp apple season.

Oh cool!  I'm glad to hear that.  I had visions of skiing in my head where I didn't take a lesson and wished I had.  I hate skiing now and have no interest in doing it again.  But I looooove the water and water sports, so I hope to really like this.  I will call to see if we need to reserve boards for the weekend we want to do it, or if we can just show up.  I'm excited :)  Thank you!

Yesterday I ate like $6 worth of Ranier cherries in one sitting.  :D

Yeah, I could do that, easy. I think I had Bings as part of my snack just now and I'm like, "MUST. HAVE. MORE." Alas, there are no more. :(

I am here. Turns out I have gained a pound and a half since falling off the ww wagon over a month ago. I jumped back on by going to my meeting Sunday and then running long.

I have decided to no longer post in yammering. The constant insults and nasty remarks were not good for me, antag, or our relationship.

Anyone want some (brand new tags still on) capri's from skirtsports?   I impulse bought them on clearance last week and won't bother returning them to the US.  Too much hassle for store credit.  I will throw them in the mail if someone wants them though  :)   They are these ones size small in the dark grey colour. They run pretty big IMO more like a medium.

Good job getting back on the wagon, MM. That's tough to do. Sorry to hear about Yammering - I'll miss you over there!

I know I've said it before, but I AM SOO glad things got back to normal here. I was about to jet. A lot of times I won't even open certain threads there because it can be so nasty. There is more to life than sniping people we don't know on an internet message board.

You focus on your relationship, because when it comes down to it, that's what matters. Not strangers yelling at each other for who knows what.

Tricia is, as usual, wise. :) And yeah, if this thread had disappeared, I don't know what I would have done. In the meantime, I'm having a hell of a time making my packing list for vacation. Hmph.  :grr:

Yoohoo!

MM, glad to see you haven't disappeared. I sometimes take a break from yammering too, and I go through long periods where I don't open any political threads, so I know where you're coming from. Just make sure to report on the wedding somewhere!

Yesterday was not great food wise (we went out for lunch: lobster roll and fries, sooooooo good!), but I'm back on the wagon today. Got groceries to take care of dinner tonight (pork tenderloin with figs, a sald and maybe cous cous) and breakfast and snackage for the work week. And I refrained from buying the chocolate at Trader Joe's, which I love but won't miss if it's not in the house.

I did run yesterday despite nasty mugginess. Now I'm relaxing on the porch.
