It depends.  Sometimes I add a can of chopped tomatoes.

Oooh tomatotes and white beans and basil and turkey would be good...

I will have to make up a batch of this soon.  Stellar idea, caito!

Off topic, but the countdown app on my phone, which I got for just this purpose, says 76 days till football season.

Shoot, yeah, couscous is out. I have a bunch of grain-based salad recipes somewhere. I'll see what I can dig up. Good luck this weekend. Feel free to throat-punch your MIL.

heh!

She most likely won't be the prob.  It will be my SIL.  But I'm hopeful that maybe they will all just shut up about it.  We had a fun weekend together last week, so my fingers are crossed!

I didn't have lunch until 2:30, just had my snack and now I have a tummy ache.   :(  My body doesn't accept schedule changes well.

I love quinoa!

I have eaten very, very poorly in the last 24 hours.  :nono:  I had some of my dad's birthday pie (cherry) last night (some = 2 small slices).  And then tonight I got take-out from a hibachi place which might have been healthy if the rice weren't disgusting and full of oil.  And I ate it anyways b/c I was too hungry.   :-[

I am 1.5 pounds away from having lost 10 lbs in the WLC and I surely won't hit that goal next Tuesday like this.

Awwww, diablita, you can do it.

And Mini, yeah, I need to stay out of that thread. It makes me hungry.

We had veggie/pasta casserole tonight, and a glass of wine. Reid had juice, just in case you were worried. Hit my points exactly for the day, so that was good. Based on the scale so far, I should see a loss of some kind this week.

I went out to eat w/DH b/c the kids are at their grandparents' house.

Good news: sushi -- so fairly healthy
Bad news: I can eat a shitload of sushi

I abstained from booze and ate super healthy the rest of the day, so overall I did okay. But I wouldn't use the word austerity when describing the amount of sushi I ate...  :-[

yeah, I'm back to austerity measures tomorrow.  but yum, sushi sounds like what I'll eat after the weigh-in next week.

And yay Debba!

I love me some quinoa. Made some today to keep in the fridge for the next couple of days if I need to grab something to eat in a hurry.

Today I made a pilaf type thing with quinoa, green onions, yellow peppers, and lima beans. SO GOOD!!!!! I had it with fish and some pinto beans.

Too hot to eat, thank goodness.  Woke up hungry in the middle of the night, but too hot and lazy to get something so fell back asleep until breakfast.  Second day in a row of wearing a sundress that didn't fit last year.  This one still had the price tag on.  I can't believe anyone paid retail for it.  I paid $25, original price $148.  For a sundress?  Loony.

Mini, that's awesome - both the deal and that you can fit into the dress! The scale inched down again this morning, so I'm happy it's at least moving in the right direction. I'm still crazy sore from Tuesday night's workout - so no running yet. Maybe tomorrow. Hmph.

Wait, no, definitely tomorrow. I just remembered that DH and I are going out Friday night, and I won't have access to a scale on Saturday morning, so tomorrow's weight is going to be my WW weigh-in for the week. Yeah. I'm definitely running tomorrow.
