:D

My thought, and I will tell people this when they start giving me diet advice, is that if I'm going to have cake, I'm going to have fucking cake.  Now, I don't like cake, so I might only eat the frosting, but it's not because of some health concern.  :D  Mostly, I don't give a shit what other people eat, I just want to punch someone when they tell me they know better than I do.  Because in like 99% of these encounters, they are spouting fad diet bullshit, and this also makes me think I'm smarter than they are in general (I'm kind of a dick like this).

This is totally different from when I'm asking for info/advice.  Please don't mistake my assholishness about this as an unwillingness to listen to others.  But the second I get unsolicited advice when I'm innocently eating my lunch or snack, I want to throat punch a motherfucker.

As I read this, I realize I may be over-reacting :D  Or over-sensitive.  Something.  This probably shouldn't rile me up the way it does!

FTR:  I've never actually punched anyone, in the throat, junk, or any other location.

This? Is why I swear we were separated at birth.

Yeah, if the elevator hadn't stopped it would have been dead silence and then, "What an interesting observation." That, or, "Just doing my part for the obesity epidemic!"

FTR:  I've never actually punched anyone, in the throat, junk, or any other location.

Maybe you should do this and claim it is your way of burning off calories.   Then thank them for the advice and workout.  :>D:

Another visit to the toddler gym again this morning.  The kids seem to be taking turns napping...one talks to the other then they get bored and nap just as the other wakes up for a chat.  I've been cleaning the house since it was getting gross.  Still plenty more to clean but I'm done.  We're dog sitting for a week and I'm really not looking forward to it.  It is a dog we owned for about 4 years then gave to some friends because he'd bark most of the night...which is NOT cool when babies are sleeping.  I'm guessing he'll still be up to his old tricks barking most of the night and we'll get little sleep.  Hopefully I'll be wrong.

I need to figure out a meal plan for dinner, too.  Gah, I need a professional chef that cleans up after themselves.

Me three on the separated at birth thing. Except the ketchup on a burger thing. :yikes:

Mustard. Just mustard. No mayo. No ketchup. No A-1. No Heinz 57. Just plain ole delicious mustard.

I HATEHATEHATE when people comment on my food. Maybe it's just my personal demons. But now that I am eating my special diet, I DREAD having to eat at my family's house. "Oh why aren't you eating xyz?" Then on and on and on. VERY annoying. My brother still comments on my eating red meat when years ago I commented that I don't like to eat it all the time. I still eat it. But JEEZUS.. if I post a pic of a slice of brisket. he's like-  "Oh that can't be your plate! You just eat chicken!" Enough already!

Heh.  My DH likes to tell my dad (the non-openminded cattle rancher) that I'm a vegetarian because I eat mostly chicken.  That gets him all riled up.

FTR, I have no problem with people who eat meat, or don't eat meat.  :)

:D  Apparently the only thing that is really meat is something that comes from a cow!

Meri that is great!  How awesome someone has started noticing.

A nice day at home today.  I got a 5.5 mile run in but still feel like a slacker.  I gave the dog, DH, and David a haircut this morning.  David looks so grown up now...cute but makes me a little sad at how quick they are growing.

They both said 'love you' to me and DH today.   :heartbeat:

I did my 20-minute C25K day today. Went pretty well - I started later than I wanted to, but it worked out. Eating today was okay. Down a bit for the week, so I'll take it.

Meri, that's awesome that someone's noticed!

Bolloxd, I know how you feel. We had to buy a new car seat for Reid for DH's car today and we had to get one that converts from a harness to a booster. My little dude is forward facing in one car now. *sniffle*

I didn't long run today...mostly because it was 103. Our house right now is 90 degrees.

i know, that is the cruel cruel irony of it all. i detest when people say "omg, you run so much, you must be able to eat whatever you want"  :grr:

I get that all the time, too.  My mother, who did not run, but was thin, heard all the time that she probably could eat anything she wanted and not gain weight.  Not true at all.

But, and this is the good news: does that not indicate that others do not think you have any need to lose weight?

people tell me all the time i do not need to lose weight. I am within a healthy weight range for my height, however, in the past, i have been 10-12lbs below this (and by no means was i sick or unhealthy looking, but super awesome and fit looking) and that was the best running weight for me. I just feel so slow and sluggish and i want to wear shorts again without chubrub  :D

Yeah, it was weird today, we went to run errands and used DH's car so Reid could try out the seat and it was like, "Aww, he's all grown up!"

Tomorrow, though, it's back to Mommy's car, and RFing. And I have a freakin' Radian in my car, so he'll be RFing in that thing until middle school. But he's already 32ish pounds and about 38" tall. So there's no seat on the market that would keep him RFing other than a Radian, and that won't fit DH's Vibe, so...

Otherwise, back to the topic, I slept in this morning and ate.... eh, okay. We ended up going for burgers for dinner. DEEEEEElicious. Not the best choice, obviously, but we haven't been in months.
