:D

Did you tell them about it?  We haven't b/c I don't want to hear 6 months' worth of "when are we going?"

We mentioned it when we first got the tickets but haven't said anything since.  We just make a big fuss when the show is on and get them to practice dancing.  Lol.

We've spent the morning at the mall letting the kids play in the toddler area.  I've got a run planned for later.

I got contacts for the first time ever today. It is weird as I have only ever worn glasses. Hopefully this will help my runs as sometimes I get a little motion sick since I can't see well.

you will have much better peripheral vision while running.

There is no way I could run with glasses.   Enjoy your new vision MM!

Well I skipped my run because I played on the trampoline and worked up a sweat.   I have no idea how I spent hours on one as a kid.  I'll probably hop in the pool soon too.  Maybe an early run if I can get up tomorrow.

I can't. They don't stay on my face. Even my sport sunglasses won't. They will stay on while bike riding but not running.

I have to wear contacts because I'm so blind the change between my peripheral vision in glasses makes me stumble like an alcoholic.

Meri,  yay for getting in so many miles...wow.

Yes, exactly.  I'm always nervous driving on glasses-wearing days.  I was *so* happy that I was able to keep my contacts in during the SMR.

Yay meri!  Nice work.
I'm supposed to run an 8K in the morning but am exhausted and don't feel like waking up at 6.  Instead I may take my DD out in the BOB in our neighborhood.  We have 2 crazy steep hills here so it'll make for a good workout.

Meri, I've noticed weight gains right around ovulation, too - I can't find anything on the web that supports my suspicion, but that would be my guess. That, and you're jacking up the miles, so could your body be holding on to every last drop of water it can to help repair your muscles?

I got up and ran this morning. Went pretty well, but it turns out I still need my inhaler if I'm going to try and run without walk breaks. Good to know!

My weight goes up around ovulation, too.  I also noticed that before I took off a few pounds my weight swung more with cycle changes.  So this month I've been less bloated with my period and was less bloated at ovulation time.  Maybe the extra weight amps up the hormone production?

So I had an 8K trail race this morning but decided that getting to sleep more than 6 hours was more better.  :)  G-d bless my DH, I slept until 8!  I'm going to take Jessica and Eddie out in the neighborhood in a bit with the BOB.

I do so well until I'm caught off guard.

Like yesterday, I came home and DH had a bag of chocolates that he got as a gift from a student.

Once I slip, I slide.  Started eating everything in sight, probably 1200 calories.  Oops.

Oh well.  Intervals & weights today to try and turn last night's calories into tomorrow's muscles.

Adding 2 days to my "2 Weeks, 0 Excuses" to make up for the one I goofed.  If I make it til Saturday morning, I still get to shop.

Really?!  All your long runs too?

I am blind so running without is not possible.  Once a couple years ago I lost a contact and was in DC (where I didn't live yet) so had to run with my glasses.  A couple miles in, once I started to sweat, my glasses refused to even partly stay on my face.  I tried everything and ended up taking the string from an old balloon and tying them to me so I could finish my run.

Do you use anything to keep them from falling off?

So we have been doing a shitty job of training but somehow managed to still do 9.5 miles today. Slow but lots of hills and it was actually fun.

I am ashamed to say I skipped a run again today.   Blah.  Slept till 9:30 and had to wake the kids at 10:00!  So they didn't nap today either.  Eating has been poor....pancakes,  hotdogs,  pavlova.

Start again tomorrow.
