I'm not necessarily in charge of getting Reid when he yells - we're actually pretty good about splitting that responsibility. I'm a little frustrated with DH saying he didn't know what to do, because that just makes no sense. We've done this before. Wait a few minutes. Go in, pat him on the back, tell him to go back to sleep. Leave. Wait a few *more* minutes, slightly longer this time. Repeat. Jeez.

I just feel bad because it was 20 minutes of yelling at 5 AM, which is an ungodly hour to be awake if you don't want to be.

I can look up all the tests I had done and report back. I had lost weight w the Morena four years ago but not this time.

That would be great :)

I think I'm going to give the gluten free thing the old college try, too.  I've often wondered about it, since I have some tummy troubles anyway...  my mom can't eat whole wheat stuff, and she's always kind of battled with her weight as well.  I don't think I have celiac or anything, but maybe an intolerance/sensitivity?  Who knows, but an experiment of a couple weeks sure won't hurt me.  I may want to murder someone in that time, since all my favorite foods have gluten tho :D

1. Complete chemistry panel - general health check
2. A1C- average blood sugar over 2-3 months
3. Fasting insulin level - do not work out night before and make early appt
4. Fasting lipid profile- if you have not had done earlier, dyslipidemia associated with metabolic risk, trouble with weight
5. B12, ferritin, zinc, vitamin d- relate to metabolism and some high risk as vegetarian
6. Free T3 and free T4 along with tsh and thyroid antibodies- thyroid perioxidase and thyroglobulin that is to determine if hashimotos
7.  a saliva hormone test via health check USA for cortisol

ok, those were the tests i had done. this is just copy and paste from my email from her. I did not do the saliva test because it cannot be done while nursing and shortly therafter with the weaning.

I basically ruled EVERYTHING out before having the Mirena out, esp since I paid out of pocket 100% for it. And I like not getting a period ever.

Thanks!  I may get back with my doctor to see if I can do this stuff...

DH needs to get snipped anyway, and it's due to come out next spring, but I was planning to have another one in.

you sure that just was not the pregnancy doing that? most women say it makes them nauseous.

It's hard to say!  But her mom takes it for diabetes and it doesn't seem to make her hungry.

She said it's an appetite suppressant, which I honestly don't think is my problem.  I think I'm appropriately hungry, and that most of the time I eat a reasonable number of calories for me.

my friend the RD explained that if you have an insulin issue, you have extra hunger because your body does not process things right and keeps craving for more food, though this is not appearing to be your problem. I can cut calories, but even when i do not cut calories, i am always famished, which is why i thought the insulin would be my issue, but nope, i just suck ;)

Courtney I hope you are able to get your issues sorted out quickly.

Been a very busy day today coupled with family drama....it must be that time of year again.  My granny was put into the hospital yesterday for what she thought was a heart attack but now they think it was something else.  Waiting on test results.  My little brother (LB1 from previous posts) found out his girlfriend was cheating on him - they just had a baby 3 months ago.  So he's been kicked out of the house and has gained another child support payment.  I feel crap about it because I was defending her odd behavior on post partum depression.

DH spent the morning at the dentist then work so I had the kids to myself which most of the time is when I experiment with very messy projects.  We played with bubbles, a home-made water table, sidewalk chalk, play-doh, fingerpaints  :nono: and I had them help make their own toast w/butter & jelly.  We got them a trampoline since they love it at the toddler gym...spent a couple hours putting it together during nap time and once they were up they LOVED it.  Hours & hours of bouncing outside with a quick break for the pool to cool down, then a bite to eat, and right back on it.  My cheeks hurt from smiling so much with their happiness.

I'd say I got my fill of exercise today.

He might want to make sure the baby is actually his.

You ARE NOT the father!

Sorry to make light of this, but I wholeheartedly agree with MM. If she was cheating, there is a chance he was not the father even if he thinks the cheating happened later. I'vee seen enough Maury to know what drama cheaters are capable of.

Oh, ya know that really makes sense...except the baby looks very much like him.  Of course, I dunno what the guy she cheated with looks like...apparently he's the recent ex of her best friend.  So she has her best friend pissed off at her and my brother.  The gf also had a rare disease as a child and thought she'd never have a baby, so the fact she even got pregnant at all is against a lot of odds.  It just seems odd that she'd cheat *so* quickly after giving birth.  My brother is no saint for sure, but she was the one who asked him to move in, get back together (they dated a few years ago), etc.

At least it was a really great day with the kiddos.

For Diablita-  We had a great day, what a super way, to spend some time together.   :D

Did you tell them about it?  We haven't b/c I don't want to hear 6 months' worth of "when are we going?"
