First spin class in a really long time this morning.  Wow.  Now I am starving - I have to stay on track today!  I clipped my fitbit to my leg and logged 5600 steps.  Going to be a good day.

Goodluck Bollox!!

I am so sad I forgot to wear my fitbit to work today!  I usually sleep with it and put it right on, but I had it on the charging station so it would be fully loaded before I went to NYC for the weekend and I forgot to stick it on my bra :(

I'm not going to be able to run this weekend, my sister has the two days jam packed with activities, but hopefully we can do a lot of walking.. we have museums and plays scheduled for the whole time, but I told her if we had time I'd like to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.. I always see people doing that on TV (Real Housewives of NYC, Sex in the city) and it looks like it would be fun!

Maybe I can hit her work out room or the walkway by the river if I get up early.  The thing is we are taking the bus and then going right from there tonight to walk around and stuff so I am trying to pack in a back pack and not sure what I can fit in there..

Oh well.. It will be a fun weekend and hopefully the walking will offset any NYC eating we do. With activities jam packed we won't have time for a lot of snacking and will be busy and not thinking of food!

Yeah, I realized as I was getting *out* of the tub that I have a giant bag of epsom salt under my bathroom sink. D'oh! Oh well. Next time! Feeling much better this morning. Still dealing with allergies, but they're much better and I got some decent sleep last night, even though I could use another 8 hours. :) And the scale was down this morning, too! Woot!

Have fun MOS! Make sure she takes you to the Highline. And walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, and the promenade. There is some great pizza on the Brooklyn side.  It's going to be a nice warm weekend.

Epsom salts rock!
I bought one of those little straps with the pressure pad that goes under your knee and it really seems to have helped my knee soreness and I can run so I am really happy because I really can't stand being inside to use the elliptical.

Down 1.6 at WI today, for a total of 24.8 damn .2!! But my clothes weigh at least that so if anyone asks I call it 25 :)

I've been staying mostly to my points allowance and knocked out most alcohol hard as that is for me! Well I did use all but 17 of my WPA.
If I don't drink beer or vodka martini's it's pretty easy for me to stay within my points. I do the 29 though not the 26. I think the 26 would be too tough and as long as I am losing ......screw that I exercise at least 5 days usually 6 and usually two of those are for 2-3 hours or in the case of a long hike even more.
I even followed the Simply Filling for two days. It's when I have to figure in 5 to 7 points for a drink that it becomes hard. DOH!!

I'm hoping to do the Brooklyn Bridge but she's got us all booked up.. Sat at 11:30 tenenment museum, Sat night theater and Sunday 9/11 memorial. This was supposed to be a 3 day weekend in Feb, but we rescheduled it when they were giving that award in honor of my brother.. and we could only reschedule for 2 days.

9/11 Memorial is not going to take that long, been there. It's an hour to look at the wall, walk through the gift shop. The museum is not open yet.

Have fun, MOS!!!

Allergy people - have your allergy symptoms ever included general body aches and your skin hurting? I'd swear I had a cold or the flu, but the symptoms aren't getting any worse (or better), and there's no fever, so I'm thinking allergies, but I'm not sure. I'm just achy all over and my skin hurts.

I mean, according to the web, it's either allergies or tuberculosis or cancer or plague.  :eyeroll:

I don't think that's it - I've been feeling the same level of crappiness for a week now - no worse, marginally better, then worse again. I can tie it to the mold levels, too.

Debba - could the aches be from the car accident or did you have them prior?  It could be your immune system is just fighting so hard and doing better on some days instead of others.  Just a theory.  Feel better soon.

Today has been great for me eating-wise.  Pumpkin pancakes, oranges & strawberries as snacks, PB&J for lunch, pasta w/extra veggies, beef, and a salad.  Plus a ton more water than I normally drink.  Despite that, I am still in bitch mode today.

Going to bed soon and hoping for some decent sleep.  DH's allergies are royally messed up today so I have a feeling he will keep me awake all night.

debba, my allergies are not as bad but no, no overall achiness or itching.  Are you taking anything besides the allergy meds and maybe having a mild drug/drug reaction?

meri, sorry you didn't sleep well last night.  What's on tap for today?

The aches are/were all over body aches - like you get when you have the flu. No fever. Pretty sure they weren't from the wreck. I'm taking Zyrtec and Advil when they get too bad. I've been doing some Googling and flu-like symptoms seem to be anecdotally common with mold allergies, and the mold has been crazy this week - pushing 2000 on the allergy counts.  :o

I took 3 Advil last night and went to bed at 8:45 and feel a LOT better this morning. The allergy counts were also down yesterday, so I think that's part of it, too. Aches are gone, for the most part. Still a little sleepy, though, and my throat is still eh. If I can track it and tie it to the mold numbers, I may go back to the doctor and see if she thinks I need something stronger. I'm just frustrated as hell, because I can't work out when I feel like I've been hit by a train.

On the good side, I was down almost 2 pounds this morning!

Woohoo!  1st in my age group!!  29:38 is pretty good for my first 5K in 5 years.  It was way quicker than I had expected of myself.  I should have worn more clothes because I was cold most of the time, my hands were numb, but other than a slight queasy feeling at the beginning it felt pretty good.  At one point I was sure the length of a 5K had increased and noone told me.  Very glad I did it without walking, and without having to push a stroller.  :D

I feel pretty spaced out so I'm hoping to catch a quick nap, then it's off to meet with LizardMixture & her DH.
