Welcome Jules!! :)

Debba- I made a (faux) chicken salad for lunches this week and used plain greek yogurt in place of mayo. It's sooooo creamy and thick! I love it. If I do sub it, I'll report back to see how it goes. :)

Plain greek yogurt really is a great substitute for sour cream.   It's got that creamy tang.

That is a great price! I wish we could buy stuff like that but we always have to check weight limits on chairs. My man has a habit of breaking them...who knew most chairs had a 200 pound weight limit.

I've bought a lot of crappy deck furniture over the years, but finally discovered the cast iron stuff.  You can get awesome chairs, gliders, tables, etc. at Home Depot or Lowes that last forever and no worries about "a few extra pounds."

You will fucking hate yourself if that wedding dress doesn't fit, I'm just saying.  No Reeses are worth that.

I put them in a random drawer for us all to discover probably sometime late June.

I am going to be joining you all FOR REAL in about a week!  I really want to focus and drop the last chunk of weight to reach my goal.  I have a big family wedding to attend on August 31, and would like to be 20-25 lbs leaner by then (just ordered my dress).  First, I have to get through vacation next week!  We are visiting my parents in the Bahamas and I typically lose a little weight there so I am not too concerned.

You all have been such an inspiration and I just love the daily check-ins.

Welcome, Jules - anyone who tries and likes a recipe I post is more than welcome! :D

I got in a fender-bender on the way home from work. I'm fine - pissed at myself for letting it happen, even though I don't think I could have done anything to stop it. My gear shift thing in the car started making this weird clicking sound on the way home, though, sort of like something had come loose, so I dropped it off at the shop and DH had to pick Reid up from day care and then come get me. We ended up picking up Chick-fil-a on the way home. As badly as I wanted a giant-sized everything AND a dessert, I ended up getting the Southwestern Grilled Chicken salad instead. Kept my damn gym appointment, too. So that was a victory. I still want to drown myself in a pint of Ben & Jerry's, though.

I went on an actual run today for 30 minutes.  Then I stopped at Baskin Robbins for a single scoop which I ate as I walked home.   :-[  It was good though.  The rest of my eating has been pretty good though.  I had a banana and some frosted mini wheats (dry) for breakfast, and lunch was a ham sandwich and a yogurt.  String cheese and cucumber/cherry tomatoes for a snack.  I'm still trying to decide what to make for dinner, but I'll probably end up with either a salad or a toasted cheese sandwich.

ouch debba.  People, please be careful.  No more car accidents, ok?

I've been eating decently for Passover (not a light food holiday) but I ate a few coconut macaroons tonight -- weren't even that good.

I was so going to post in the running forum this morning and I failed to get myself out of bed to acutally go for the run.   Not off to a good start!  I will try to get my little 4 miles in after work.  The problem with after work is that I have a whole days worth of excuses why I can't possibly run after work..... :(

I weighed this morning and was down .4.  I am at least moving in the right direction.  Slooowwwwwwlllllyyyyyyy.

slowly but surely! i was planning on getting up at 5am to run, but i was up all night between DH and DD! WTF? My schedule is quiet at work and i should have an hour between work and picking DD up, so i should get a run in then. hopefully. unless someone schedules.

breakfast is my hardest meal to do. I want to stay low on carbs and sugar, but i can only eat so much scrambled tofu. i am not in an oatmeal mood lately. i could just eat a lunch type meal at breakfast, but what fun is that??

Ughh.. today is my huge workout day.. I have my group training at 6am and then track at night.. I knew my group training on Weds was going to be hard once track started.. Luckily the track workouts are in the building phase so we just run 30 seconds hard, 30 seconds easy for 30 times.. Last week with the warmups included it worked out a little more than 4 miles for me.

If we walk at lunch time though I could end up with close to 24,000 steps which is what I had last week.
I did 15 min off elliptical before the workout this morning.. she has us run laps in between sets.  My trainer remarked to me today that my arms are looking very musclular :buttpat:  Yeah!  Just in time for summer season..

She wants us to give her a goal next week for the next 4 weeks.  I'm torn between a weight loss goal or some kind of fitness goal, like buffed shoulders..

Try to be better about logging my food on my fitnesspal.. forgot my phone today so that's going to be hard.. I feel like my fitness and workouts are in a really good spot, now if I can just get a handle on the food...

MoS -- it's impressive how you just got right back into the workouts!   You are killing it.   You do have muscle.  I bet if you drop a few more pounds, your muscle definition will be even more prominent.  Then again, a great way to help lower body fat is to lift weights, so I think your two goals go hand in hand.

Cool, lots of new people posting in here!

Good morning everyone.

I made it to my personal training yesterday am...we did 3 sets of dead lifts (not sure what the weight was), deep squats with 40 pounds, and crunches using this wedge thing at the small of my back. The she had me do supermans, some abs, and the high jumps on the bosu ball. I am starting to "feel it" this morning.
Food wise, I am doing okay as far as choices go but having issues reverting back to old portion sizes. So I guess that I need to refocus my disciple on that aspect of things.

This morning I am running before work...and my food plan is good so I hope to have a successful day all the way around.

I hope you all have a good day.  :bouquet:

Good morning everyone.

1!

Still trying to fully recover from Easter.  I did okay calorie-wise, but I caved and ate too many Reese's.  I'm having some serious fat/sugar cravings.

Well, yesterday wasn't awful. Stirfry at lunch- I didn't tell them "no rice" and ate maybe 1/2 cup of rice. Was still pretty full by dinner last night so had a smoothie instead, for the second day in a row. Went to sleep at like 8pm last night so still no soup for lunches so today I have an assortment of things... veggies and hummus, string cheese, eggs, yogurt & fruit- to snack on throughout the day.

So logging my food does make a difference.. I logged one mini babyruth.. 85 caloories!  Yowza.. and 2 mini nestlecrunch.. they were not as bad..

I'll think twice before I put my hand in the candy dish.. mindless calories that would amount to 500 before I know it!
