And to make this a healthy post:
no exercise b/c of my big run yesterday (10+ miles that included 2000 ft of elevation gain, then loss) but I ate very healthfully today. A tiny bit of snacking this evening but not much -- I made my DH eat the last 2 macarons  8)

RA- it will be ok!

Yeah, sheet cake is a nice bonus after the race. I was so sick to my stomach but had no problem eating the cake! LOL. There was a gourmet cupcake store by the hotel, but we never made it there. I am starving and need to come up with a plan of attack for the week. DH and DD did not leave the house between Fri and when i got home last night  :eyeroll: i gotta go food shopping before work today.

Sorry about the cake talk.

I'm holding steady - the scale is inching down. I need more DFW and more exercise.

The scale is moving down for me too...  tracking consistently for a week now has helped.  :)

Yes, the tracking is huge for me. Sometimes it's a PITA to do it, but it helps. Now, if I want the scale to really get moving, I've got to incorporate exercise.  :sigh:

And exercise rarely seems to help me move the scale...  it will keep it from going up sometimes, but it seems irrelevant in my losses.

I know that can't be, but anectdotally, that's been the trend.

I think my body is pretty efficient if I don't get much exercise. Yes, eating less - staying within my WW Points - will get the scale to move, but in relatively small numbers. Some weeks a half a pound is great. But a half a pound or less every goddamn week? That's insane-making. If I throw in some exercise and eat within my Points, including Activity or extra points, then I see better numbers overall.

And yet, dragging my ass out of bed to work out is still damn near impossible.

If I eat within my points and don't work out I will maintain. If I exercise (and by that I mean at least 5 hours a week) or dont exercise and skip all the extra weekly points I can lose but it sure isn't fun to stick to only 28 points a day and never get any treats. The key is the eating but the exercise also plays an important role for me and I cannot eat my exercise points or all the gains for exercise are lost. I honestly really need to exercise 10+ hours a week to get to my goal weight but I just cannot seem to do it anymore.

I gained by exercising regularly but not watching my eating carefully enough. I ate healthy but my portion size is off.

Yeah, I worked out really well over spring break and had a good loss that week by not eating my APs. I think I did have some of the weekly points, but not too many. I really have to be careful with portions and get in some good workouts.

There are 3 birthdays this week...  :panic:  I'm a sucker for the c word too.  Luckily (or not) there is a lot of running to & fro this week/weekend to keep our activity levels up -  A birthday gathering on Thursday, Party on Friday, egg hung & party on Saturday, dinner at Granny's on Sunday, and Easter candy to deal with.  As long as I keep up my running I'm hoping to manage.

I got a 5 mile run in today, plus my push-ups.  I've got the stuff to make a salad and be healthy, but just lacking the motivation to put it all together.  How do you make yourself eat healthy meals when other stuff is so much easier.  Some days I have the motivation but on others I'm lucky to eat cereal.

Yeah, I like to have stuff like those lean cuisine steamer bags in my freezer for times like that.  I'm sure I could make stuff cheaper, blah blah, but it's better than frozen pizza.

Or subway.  I eat there a lot.

anxiously awaiting!
i may consider one.

I do walk a lot at work, i barely sat down once yesterday which made my poor feet swell up like balloons. i ate a ton of peanut butter filled pretzels yesterday, but it is race recovery, right? i have that wicked sore throat again that makes me not want to eat. i guess that is good. will see how hungry i get today. i think i am pretty recovered from my race food wise. depends on what the Panera box looks like today :D

Hit my final goal on Saturday!  Still not done, but I'm at my "I'm okay at this weight for life" point.
