I think I figured out my Tapatalk issue, I was on a different screen where I didn’t see all the threads, my bad. And I can’t edit thread titles, so my extra Saturday thread will have to stay what it is

More importantly, I think I figured out my shoe/achilles issue and now have three pairs of shoes that should work great for Race Day (T-minus 20 days).
1. Brand new Topo UltraAdventure 4 that I bought “mid-run” yesterday and ran home from the group run in. Even sprinted against (and dropped) several mountain bikers on the more technical trail sections;)
2. Backup pair - my thrift-store $15 Topo UltraAdventure that had been delaminating, E6000 repair was not a permanent fix. Shoe Goo repair seems to be holding better after Saturday’s long run everything held good. These will be good for spot duty on race day (a lap or two here or there)
3. Solomon X ULTRA 04 high top hiking boots are also fine to run in and don’t irritate my Achilles. I ran the first half of yesterday’s run in them with no issues.
Everything else i tried on yesterday irritated my Achilles. But I have 3 pairs that “work” for me now.
28km total. Ran 13km group run and 15km home. A lot of zone 3 with the group, then pivoted to a lot of zone 1 and zone 2 run with some walking/hiking mixed in for variety plus that zone 4 1.8km trail sprint there at the end!

Oh and combined with Saturday that makes a 50k weekend which also rates as my 3rd “ultra” ever. (Other 2 were actual races). Let’s do this.
