Broad Street Run Philly
« on: January 24, 2026, 09:44:51 PM »
I'm thinking about running this year. It'd be my biggest race, both in terms of distance and number of runners.

I'm hoping to get in via times I've run in other races. The website says there are times that can get you on pre-lottery but I can't find them listed anywhere. I've beat some of the guys that finished in the top 25 but I never raced a 10 mile before. Any ideas what kind of times they'd be looking for at other distances?

I'll check. It's also on my bucket list of big races.

Cool, I thought you might be able to find that out.

The next biggest race I've run had 1400 people so it'll be a change for sure. I guess it's a really fast race so I think I'll be shooting for somewhere under 54 minutes so I'd hate to be buried back in a wave starting minutes after the first one.

The info I got was 55 minutes for seeded wave for men. I don't know beyond that.

Where do you hear that? I contacted the race and they didn't even give me any numbers. They just told me all the info will be there when registration opens on February 1st. So far my goal is sub 53 which would have put me in the top 25 finishers last year so I definitely hope to get into the seeded wave.

I'm running a half marathon, the Scranton half marathon, in early April to see where I'm at and where I need work.

Do you think you'll make it to Broad Street this year?
