23 mph headwind out and back 5k race this morning

It was great at the back side, but a stiff headwind made it hard. Finished in 23:00.

Congrats!

Thanks! I feel like I've turned a corner. Perhaps it's a slow corner, but whatever. I did see I came across 1 mile at 6:49. It was literally 1.5 into a 23 mph headwind and 23 mph back w/it at your back.

I was googling around trying to figure out how much each way helped or hurt. If the link is right it cost 90 seconds on the way there...not sure the help on the way back....pretty sure it wasn't a wash...

I'm thinking I could have done 21:30....but that's all hypothetical....

There is a run on the sand tomorrow...1.5 sand into a headwind and back 1.5 w/a tailwind.... I haven't registered for it, but I was thinking about it. I've never run on the sand in a race.

Great headwind 5K time.  :)

At least the race didn't get cancelled, like the Savannah Marathon (though the half went on).
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

That's brutal. Good work on a tough day.
