8.6 with "crossovers" an old fartlek/type favorite. Did about 3 mile warm up, then 4 minute threshold effort around the soccer fields, and then two sets of 4X1 min/1 minute float. The semi-square loop is about 1K and you go across at race pace for a minute and then rather than just jog you run the recovery minute at about marathon pace. Repeat. Last two of second set were mile pace, so I jogged that recovery--no floating when you are nearly sprinting--at least not yet. Those hurt--like the first time this year that I really felt taxed at the end of a workout.

This workout is sort of a derivation of the 30-40s that Pre and the Oregon runners made famous some 40-50 years ago.

But I ramble.
I'll stick to running, thank you.

Around 3 miles, with a one-mile time trial in the middle.  Ran a 7:59; it is likely my last sub-8 ever.  Yes, I am a slow distance runner, but I accept that.  And yes, a one mile is a distance race, not a sprint.

Oh no Eddie!

3 on the mill.  My legs were absolutely dead from deadlifts yesterday and I let myself walk/run since it was just for blood flow today.  Then later discovered that someone had cranked the elevation on the 'mill.  Sigh.  Cranked out the last of it super fast.

Yup, for safety sake, and to take pics once in a while. Plus get email notifications on my Garmin smart watch, so I'm connected all the time.

Waist band holder. Arm holders was always falling down. Combo water bottle and phone waist band holder on long runs, 15K+.
