'participated' in a 5k race. Decided to do it as a progression run with every mile progressively slower. That was fun. Ran into some friends, which was fun too. I enjoy being a part of the race environment, even when my fitness sucks. Plus the weather was some of the nicest it's ever been for this race (it's part of a series every winter that seems to always get notoriously bad weather), even if a little on the cold side. There's one coming up in my neighborhood in 2 weeks that I might jump into as well. I might try and get out for some outdoor runs on milder days. I've pretty much stuck the the treadmill, which can be difficult to extrapolate to outdoor performance.
