20K in the late afternoon.  After waking up at 5am to work the Toronto Marathon Water Station at the 23K Marathon and 17K Half Marathon mark.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Totaled just over 8 miles, but broken into segments because of the heat.

Even low 60s is a little too warm for big people.

5 miles at about 9:10 pace and that included walk breaks.
Walk 2 laps, 2 miles, walk a lap, 1 mile.
Without too much effort I brought the last lap down to 1:56.

Started at 235.6lbs, ended at 231.2.
Drank about 1.5 pounds during the run and still lost about 4.5 pounds.

Time to put away the winter gear and get out the summer gear.
Hat, ice underneath, iced water and gatorade, and vaseline.

33 miles for the week.
Looked back in the running logs.
Most weekly miles since May 2011.
That week had a 30k race in it.
41 miles for that week ending 5/8/11.
Two days short of 7 Gdamn years ago.

Several large chunks of time spent on the shelf with foot injuries since then.
2011 40 weeks with a stress fracture in the left foot (started to hurt and I tried to run through it)
2012 33 weeks with an achilles problem in the right foot (cheap shoes)
2014 20 weeks with an arch problem in the right foot (no idea, happened in the span of 3 steps)
2016 41 weeks with pain where the ankle joins the right foot (no idea, woke up with it after an easy jog)

OK since then. I started wrapping my feet with compression tape.
That seems to have stopped the aches that I usually got,
and that seems to prevent the serious problems.
Feels good to just go out and run without the feet aching.
