Yoga and run on same day?
« on: November 21, 2017, 09:01:15 AM »
If I were to do a run (not a long run or a hard track workout, just a run of 3-8 miles) and yoga on the same day, which would you guys recommend be done first.  I can see arguments both ways.

How long between the two?

Yes, either could be warm up for the other, but if you get cooled down all the way in between, I would thik it would matter even less

I'd pick Yoga first

I am thinking not much of a cooldown.  Maybe something light to eat and also hydrate and time to change clothes, but I would do them back to back otherwise.

I would do a mile run to warm up the muscles; then do the yoga.  After the yoga, I would do the rest of the run.

neither one is a really tough workout so you could do it either way  ;)

I think if it's just an easy run I wouldn't worry about it and would just do whatever fits your schedule best.
