Tarawa - I think my tendons are messed up beyond what happens to most people. If you don't feel right fast, get into PT.I have multiple issues and I think I am somehow just wired for poor healing. You'll be better than that.

I'm on running restart #214, I think. Right now, four miles counts as a long run. I think my 5K time is about 26:45. I struggle to do 3x90 second 400s with a 400 jog/stagger in between. I am 50. This is where I am right now and it sucks, but it's better than where I was 6 months ago.And what is it with calf tightness and pain with a running start up? I suffered through several starts that I went into too fast and which ended with calf pain. I took it much easier this time around and got through the calf pain period and got beyond it. Now it's just the slow slog of getting cardio back.
My 5k pr is 22:19 at the age of 47 in 2008.. currently can barely walk so.... that's probably as good as it's going to get
