I’ll have to watch it when I’m done reading it....damn! I coulda come back as Lady Silence!
If you come back as an Inuit lady, you're not allowed to shave your armpits.
How do ya know I do now?!
What's dis!?!
Wouldn’t ye like to know!
Show me your pits.
I think ye need to throw me Mardi Gras beads... :headscratch:
Only if it protects against the beast on the ice. But, is this the original intent of the thread? >
It's a talisman, fer sure.If a thread drifts in the ocean, and no one is around.....
Whenever a lead opens up, the beast is there waiting to bite yer head off
No one survives, donthey?
No one survived the actual expedition.Me husband went thru a spell of reading nonfiction books about Ant/Arctic expeditions, and I want to say there was one about the Terror/Erebus journey. There was a good one I recall called The Ice Master about the voyage of the Karluk, which set off looking for an undiscovered Arctic continent in like 1914! It’s amazing how recent some of the seemingly basic knowledge of our planet is. But I can’t imagine signing up for any polar expedition!
There’s no Donthey in the book. Was he a mutineer?
I’ve wondered all along if there’d be some twist like that.
