The one and only time I have made hummus, it was not a success. I used dried beans, but couldn't use tahini, which I am guessing was the big difference.
yupwhat did you use instead of tehina?
I should mention, that my solution now to when I want hummus is just to go out at lunch when DD#2 isn't around. No exposure and it tastes so much better than what I made.
DH is the hummus maker in our house -- he always uses canned beans, though. It comes out really great, but I wonder if it would be even better with dried beans. Now that I have an instant pot, I'm not afraid of dried beans anymore.Tahini is key, but we also like lemon and a good dose of garlic in ours.
the difference beten canned and freshe is salt for me. I never add any salt to my food.
