short speed work (only .6 miles) but intense and high heat.
The scientific consensus might, of course, be wrong. If the history of science teaches anything, it is humility. But our grandchildren will surely blame us if they find that we understood the reality of climate change and failed to do anything about it.

60, sunny, slight breeze, very good conditions.
5k on the track. Just under 28 minutes.
2nd 5k of the year, 50 seconds faster,
and it felt much easier. Foot was basically painfree.
Now if it feels that way tomorrow, I may be over the hump.

A cousin by marriage died (I didn't have to be pall bearer for a change)
His wife (my cousin) gave me an exercise cycle. Old but sturdy.
It has a heavy flywheel with a strap around it that can be tightened to increase effort.
Rode it for 15 minutes this morning. I like it.
I could feel the burn in my knees. I'll use it in hopes it replaces hill workouts I don't do.

Winter is gone. Apparently I can run again. Life is good.

15.5K.  Ready for a day off tomorrow.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
