St. Patrick's Day Thursday March 17th
« on: March 17, 2016, 09:03:20 AM »
Early 6K.  Had some restless taper time legs waking me up early, so I decided to blow off some energy by going out early for a run.  Will also give me a half day extra rest before my last long run of 16K tomorrow, before I go into full blown taper rest.  Just a green stripe on my running jacket .

Weights plus 5.8 miles -- wore my Ireland tank top and was told by a fellow runner, who was wearing green, that I was appropriately dressed

6 miles including:

2-mile warm up
1 x 3 miles at lactate threshold pace with 2:00 recoveries
1-mile cool down

Tapering for a half marathon this week. Felt a little sluggish but nailed my mile repeats

Had to work today (I am mainly retired), so did weights after work.  Will run in the morning when it's cooler.
