Gym stuff and running rest day.  Unless I decide to run later.

6 x 1:30 = 9 minutes!  Plus 22 of walking.

Slow and sure. . .

5k time trial. I tried to do this on tuesday but it was nearly 80 degrees and I shut it down at two miles,
setting a season best for the mile and two mile in the process.

Tonight was low 50s with some wind, ok to good conditions.
Did the prerace stuff and toed the line not feeling very fast,
lousy day and work and generally bummed.

I wanted to go under 24 minutes so I needed about 1:55 laps with a finishing kick.
Opened with 1:52, started reeling off 1:55-1:56 with no problem.
First mile in 7:43, second mile in 7:47. Slipped a little but still good.

I could have hammered to go way under 24 but I am
still leery about reinjuring my foot so I held steady and
picked it up on just the last lap. Mile 3 in 7:41, closing .1 in 45 seconds.

23:56.5 final time, an SB by 45 seconds. Didn't feel too hard
and I didn't get hurt, so a good good run.

Now if I could just get down to 230 pounds...
