January 11
« on: January 11, 2015, 01:18:18 AM »
I had planned on a half marathon today, but when i checked the website last night to double check the starting time, i found out the marathon was on saturday, i.e., yesterday.  So, I tapered without any reason, and I ran 10 instead.  Not really happy anout it, but on th other hand, yesterday was very windy here, like 40-50 mph.

11 miles.

I was really cold at the start and thought about bagging it and taking it to the treadmill but glad I stuck it out.  Warmed up after 2 miles and ended up with a lovely winter run and even got some sun on my face.

15k in SF, very humid/misty. Nice course except for 2 mile hill at the end. The chocolate fondue at the end made it worth it.

I did the same thing last Spring, Ice Cream.   I made myself run 13.1.   :(

16 slow K in slightly better temps.  Windchill was only at 5F.

I ran a lovely 4 miles this morning and was so happy to get out in the cold.  3 miles on very rolling sidewalks, then put my dog in the backseat of the car to rest and went for one more speedy mile.

I was messed around something fierce this morning, hence I didn't get out till around 10.00am.
Only had time for 3km which was at aerobic threshold - as fast as I run these days.
