Miles in 2014
« on: December 31, 2014, 07:34:05 AM »
I finished this year's running; 2102.4 miles.

My FitBit data for 2014: 3,647 miles

6,679,827 steps    and 800,903 calories (And since I did not gain/lose weight, I must have eaten those calories, too.)

Congrats on those totals.

I have no idea on mine, I would hope it would at least average out to 25 mpw.

:rah:

I think mine is less than 200 miles.   :-[  I'm losing the mental running game.

Lower than expected because of injury.  I shut down training in October to the bare minimum so that I could hobble through my last two races of the year.  I knew it was stupid when I did it, and now I am reconfiguring my 2015 race plans to allow for a proper rehab.

1300 or so.

1903 miles.

It was a good running year. I PR'd in the 5-mile, 10k, half marathon, and marathon. No major injuries. I am looking forward to beginning a new training cycle on January 11.

3279 Km or 2024 miles.  Bit of an injury year with reduced mileage for a couple of months.  Previous year was 2116 miles.  Second year doing four marathons though, but all over 4 hours finishing time.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

819 miles, not counting 126 miles of walking.

Highest month: 125 in July
Highest week: 31.3 miles
Long run: 6 half marathons, three around 1:56
Year bests: 5k 22:51, 10k 48:30, 10mile 1:22:18.

After a 10 mile race in November I took 2 days off to recover.
On the third day I went for a run, at the 7 minute mark I got injured.
Right out of the blue, no warning.
Everything is crappy, but fine, then a twinge in my right foot, next step it hurt, next step it really hurt.

In 3 strides I went from OK to limping. Shut down for 10 days to let it heal.
After 10 days I ran for 15 seconds, shut it down again. More pain the next day.
It's been 8 weeks now. Foot is better. It still aches, but no real pain.
It'll be below zero this coming week. Around January 10th I'm going to try to run for a few minutes.

Despite missing the last two months it was my highest mileage since 2011.

Wow, to you guys in the 2000s!  I was probably about 1500, but will surely be higher than that for 2015.
