Happy American Independence Day!

I ran my 3 mile race in 15:54, good enough for 4th out of 592. Perfect weather, sunny and about 65° F. The front two were gone after the first quarter mile. I set the chase pack pace till about 2.5 miles then the eventual 3rd and 5th place took over. With about a quarter mile to go I reeled one guy in and 3rd place was 15:47. I accomplished both my goals, sub 16 and beating the 5th place guy(who has been our top local guy for years).

Congrats kawasa, you are running quite well!

Ran a 5K across the city, in my new home state. It was wicked warm and humid (80 degrees dew point 71) 19 and change, 87.5% age grade.

Y’all are so fast! Congratulations on your fast 5Ks!

I’m not fast but I did turn out a 5K road PR by almost a half minute on the 4th.

To stay in the theme of the 4th, like Kawasa I also placed 4th (but, out of 44 in my new age group).
Podiums were for the top three but since they messed up my chip time they had extra pint glass awards and gave me one. That plus the PR, and I’d have to call it a great day of running!

Downhill 5k net -90m drop, total -100m elevation drop. 25:19.

16*C gorgeous weather and only a little light rain at the end up in Winter Park CO.
