NYC Half Marathon
« on: November 03, 2014, 09:44:59 PM »
I just signed up for the drawing.  If I don't get in, no biggie.  But if I do, it will be a fun place to run my first half in a few years.

anyone else?

Is that the united airlines one that's in march?

I entered my name into that too.. you did notice it's "guranteed 'non complimentary' entry"?

Yes.

It's not the NYC Marathon.  I like the idea of running a full mara but probably won't do it until my daughter is a bit older.

I ran my first when my son went to college! It was my response to empty nest!

:)  If only I had a shot at running one anywhere near as quickly as you do, I could train for them before DD goes away to school.  The problem with being a mid-packer (slower in a long race) is that it takes me longer to get in the long training runs.

But I do want to get back to halfs.  I really like the distance.  I love a good 12-15K but there are only so many of those.

It's a fun race. I did it once.

One time around CP and then over to the west side and down to Battery Park one, yeah? I have run the other half a couple of times as well. The one that takes you around CP twice. Second week of Jan. Silly brutal cold!
