So, I'm an admitted cookie batter eater. I spent all day yesterday whipping up cookies for our exchange, sampling batter here and there. I woke up middle of the night with tummy cramps that eased up within an hr. and have some mild GI distress this a.m. I figure it was the batter since I didn't eat anything else.
Did baking the cookies snuff out any lingering bad stuff?
Please don't tell me I have to toss all I made.
I also just read that it could be the flour rather than the eggs that might cause issues - raw, of course. Reports seem to indicate that once baked, the issues resolve.
