All you people who claim to love dry toast. Do you mean toast or bread? Would you just have au untoasted plain slice of store bought wheat bread as a snack? I sure as hell wouldn't. Ick.
yes!

I think DH's mental well being would be more even keeled if he ate regularly. He could easily skip breakfast and not eat until dinner time  :o I wake up STARVING, no way that would work for me.

After reading Mother Teresa's post in the flu thread...I went and got the flu shot yesterday. Just.in.case (my doc always wants me to get it due to my asthma.)
Then I came home and took a nap.

I am finishing up my coffee and then I am heading up to do my "morning 30" before work. I have a massage after work tonight that I am very much looking forward to.  :)

DH and I have switched new my afterwork ritual from one or two glasses of wine to drinking chamomile and lemon tea, and I am finding that I am sleeping SO much better. I was waking up after a few hours and would not be able to fall asleep again. Now, I am sleeping through the night and feeling well rested.

Anyway, have a great day everyone.   :)

I think we are going out for a date night tomorrow. I do not like eating out but I think it will be nice. I feel like DH and I are so not on the same page right now, lots of stress with the holidays, DD, etc, that it will be good. her yoga place has "drop and dine" yoga tomorrow. We will probably do thai. I think i got eggplant with brown rice last time. I have my period and am sooooooooo bloated. Hope to see a drop on the scale once the bloating is gone. Have done really well this week with food and exercise.

meri, I hope you have fun and get better connected.

We have a crazy weekend starting today.  We're going out tonight.  My dad is picking up J from school and taking her to dinner.  I'm surprising Philip by taking him to a creperie he's been dying to go to.  I'll probably have a salad (good) and pomme frites (bad).

Then a friend's son is having his Bar Mitzvah tomorrow so there will be a luncheon after the service, then a dinner tomorrow night.  I'm sure we won't be virtuous.  And then on Sunday we have a board meeting at the JCC (I'm being elected to the board) so the day will be full of sitting around.

DD has been a handful lately, and we are just exhausted. I think it will be good to have some one on one time, even if just for an hour :)

For sure.  Even if she's been an angel, you need time for you.

I used to eat bread plain, bread with butter, bread with pb, bread dipped in spaghetti sauce, bread with cheese on it...  So yeah.

I can eat a loaf of bread. Crappy, white bread. And if it's good bread, even better.

But right now I'm eating chicken and vegetable soup.
I don't have time for laundry; I'm trying to have a great life.

No...  :). We were supposed to head to KS this weekend for my niece's 4th birthday party, and the weather was so bad that we turned around about an hour into the trip.  I'm bummed.  I not only want to see her, but I struggle mightily when I'm the only one who can't be around.  :(. It's my issue, for sure, and I'm sad.

On top of that, we had an uncomfortable conversation with someone, or rather my dh did, and conflict and anger make me so super uncomfortable.  People I'm invested in being upset at each other just bothers me, and even tho none of that was bad or earth shattering, it was enough to push me over into a giant binge.  *sigh*

Tomorrow, my mom will Skype me in on parts of the party, so we can wish her a happy birthday and stuff.  I just need to chillax and realize that it's ok to miss stuff sometimes, even tho it pains me.

:)

Courtney- that sucks about the weather :(

BUT in good news, i was right, period bloat is mostly gone and i was down a couple pounds on the scale!!!!   This definitely encourages me to keep eating all this soup and cabbage :D

I'm sorry Courtney - I know how important things like that are to you, and as a fellow devoted Auntie, I completely understand. Hope you enjoy skyping in and you get to do something special at a later visit.

I am sorry you missed your visit, Courtney.  And I am like you, in that I avoid confrontation like the plaque...I dread it, and I tend to dwell on it when it occurs. Not good at all.
  Don't beat yourself up over the eating...move on from it.

DH and I had a bottle of wine ( I should have stopped at one glass!) with dinner last night, and I feel awful this morning. I am such a ninny. We are planning on a new run loop down off the Avenue of the Giants this am...and we are going to go anyway. Hopefully I will burn the hangover out of my system. ugh

Came home from work at 2pm to piping hot pizza from the pizzaria, i resisted. We are going out to dinner and with the movement on the scale i was not going to tempt it. And I do not want to ever eat dairy. Not sure about dinner, thai or mexican. Mexican would be fine cause i would just eat a salad or veggie fajita with not fixings with it, just the veggies.
