Oh, I hate stuff like that. We've had something every single weekend since Labor Day. This coming weekend is our first weekend off, and I actually have a lot to get done around the house.  :sigh:

I'm letting it derail me, which I don't have to do...  but TBH, when we were back for DH's grandma's funeral, my food choices were so limited.  The luncheon had bread, pasta salads, and other pot luck type foods that I can't really take a chance with (gluten is everywhere).  I was STARVING by the time we got done late in the afternoon.  The only thing to grab at that point came from a convenience store, and well, you know how that goes.  Hello snickers and cheetos.  :D

Then we got to my mom's and she'd made, special for me, these awesome no-bake peanut butter chocolate cookies.  Deeeelish.  Then fast food on the way home, which basically means french fries or gas station food.  Last weekend was a bit better, since we were in Ft. Worth, but still...

Now this week, I can't seem to get myself on the bandwagon, and I can't really buy groceries since I'd just have to move them, and blah blah blah.  I'm going to have a baked potato and some steamed veggies for lunch, I think.  Tonight will probably be a salad from either qdoba or mad greens.

You know, sometimes you just have to go with it. I gave myself a bit of a pass last week with halloween. I could have fought, and won, the urge. But, I just went with it. *shrug* It's a new week. Not the end of the world, you know?

At least cheetos and snickers don't have gluten? I'm trying to look on the bright side, here!

Oh yeah, totally!  :D

RA, definitely.  I'm going to just get thru the week/weekend and then we'll make some good changes at home!

Hopped on the scale for the first time in a couple of weeks and back within 3lbs of my lowest. So, happy with that.

I have to cook something tonight. Frozen pizza and leftover takeout is killing me. I've just been completely exhausted by the time I get home lately. Hmph.

Yay RA and debba!   I'm getting the snacking back under control as well.

endomondo has been SO good for me.  The challenge with my co-workers ends next Friday (zombie run next Sat) and I'll really miss it.  Today was 42 degrees, drizzy/miserable and I still got a lunchtime run in.

endomondo?

Breakfast is always the hardest meal for me. Either it is not filling or nothing sounds good and healthy. I am making a baked oatmeal recipe right now. http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/03/15/cookie-dough-baked-oatmeal/
DH and DD have been sick on an off for a couple weeks with colds/coughs and i am doing my best to stay healthy and not fall into their sick comfort eating/snacking. I have a little cough and post nasal drip/sore throat, but come on, moms are not allowed to get sick, LOL.

Meri- endomondo is an app for your phone that tracks your runs- distance, pace, etc. It's a pretty cool little app. Kind of squirrelly for me, but others don't seem to have the same issues.

D- I hope you keep running! I like seeing what you and Rio are up to. :)

Reid has, I think, a nasty case of allergies going on right now. He sounds terrible, and has an awful cough, but doesn't seem sick, if that makes sense. Poor kid. And then last night at 12:30 he said his ears hurt. I really hope it's not turning into an ear infection, but I wouldn't be totally surprised if it did.  :sigh:

Lunch-wise, I'm still just eating apples and PB&J and Chobanis, sometimes with a Luna bar thrown in there for kicks. Not great, but there's nothing horrible in there, either. I was exhausted last night when I got home, but I managed to pull myself together and make the stir-fry anyway. It was delicious, and I need to remember that tonight. I didn't want to do it, but I did, and it worked and was great.

I saw a soup recipe and thought of you ... cooked veggies, filling (I've made a variation before), and some ginger to calm the nausea. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/02/skinny-yet-creamy-carrot-ginger-soup.html (note, skip ff sour cream and use yogurt or ff half and half instead)  Butternut squash and other veggies would work too.

hi teetime!  how are you doing?

Overall, great!  Though, by life domain, this varies :)

Had an amazing vacation a couple weeks ago -- took off a month from TTC -- ran and hiked and drank wine all I wanted (and got a very pretty ring to make things with J official :))

In terms of healthy eating and fitness, closer to a rant than a rave currently.  Back at the TTC thing (the biggest domain specific downer) and this current round of meds has me feeling like a giant puff ball.  Which may also be due to the post vacation bad habits (we were super active and when camping never eat too much so came home feeling good but got out of the habit of cooking full meals so have been snacking which always leaves me feeling pretty gross).  Thanksgiving will be challenging as I'll soon be in a 2ww and am going to try my hardest to not over workout this time around.

Anyway!  What have you cooked lately that I can try to make sure we have a nicely stocked fridge leading up to the holiday?

teetime- glad you had a nice trip. Those fertility meds, esp progesterone will puff you up. I think they say women gain an avg of TWENTY pounds during fertility treatments! Are you on pinterest?

Christ really?!  At barely 5'1" that would be a 20% increase :nono:

Luckily I've only puffed up a bit around this time (close to ovulation) and then by the time I get my period start to feel better ... it's all in my fingers, boobs, and abs area though so that's no fun.  I've only had to take progesterone once in 7 cycles so maybe that has helped.  Also, I can attribute most of it to habits too so luckily the meds don't seem to be driving too much more than some water retention that hasn't been long term.  :fingers: that would continue if I have to move on to IVF (actually  :fingers: :fingers: I don't have to take that step at all ... I wouldn't mind staying a bit bloated if there was a baby in there!)

I am sort of on pininterest.  Have an account and can poke around.  I just rarely go as I don't quite understand what to do with it.  (E.g., you search for a chicken recipe and get 12 pictures of the same thing)
