Hey there.   I am working on being good today although we're going to a BBQ place for dinner.  Must get a run in.

Mini, I think we need a picture of you in your dress.  It's awesome that you managed to lose weight after your accident!

75 days now! Woot!

I finally looked up those crash potatoes. Holy cow do they look good!!!!

I'm on my own for dinner tonight so will probably eat something weird that nobody else around here likes...

I made those potatoes again last night (I should look at the PW recipe, it may be a bit different from mine, but basically I smoosh cooked gold potatoes down, put garlic on top, pour some olive oil on, then salt and bake).  Yum.

I have never tried to make quinoa.  Someone told me (and I have not looked this up to see if it's true!) that if you don't rinse it right, it's poinsonous??  I'm sure that can't be right.

I'm definitely ready for it to be football season, and fall.  WOO!  MoS, the app is T-Zero, but I think there are a bunch of them.

I've never heard that about quinoa. If you don't rinse it, it can taste sort of soapy, but it's not poisonous.

Ha!  I haven't weighed myself since the accident.  I've lost weight since last summer, mostly in the midwinter WLC.

Shut up mini. Just because google changed it, doesn't mean in elementary school, we got it wrong.

I thought that seemed sort of odd :D  I will have to pick up some this weekend.  I see recipes on pinterest from Meri all the time!

I have never even rinsed quinoa.

And you lived to tell the tale!   :yikes:  :D

So...  the consensus is:  not poisonous!  I kept meaning to google it but never got around to it.

I found some links to whole-grain salad recipes - I've made the one in the second link and it's pretty damn good. I have that issue at home - I'll look up some more tonight.

Thanks!  :)  I'll have to check them out before I grocery shop!

I saw something on pinterest where people put pork chops in the bottom of the crockpot, with garlic & onions, then layered on foil wrapped baked potatoes, then foil wrapped corn on the cob.  I may try this tomorrow if I get to the store to get corn and foil.  That would be a big hit at my house.  I'm going to probalby use a pork loin, since it's what I have.

Today I brought in a potato to bake at work.  Microwave the toaster oven for crisping.  I'm going to top it with leftover sloppy joe filling (protein) and home made ranch.  I'm sure that sounds disgusting to you guys, but I bet it's tasty.  I also have cucumbers and cherries (rainer!!).  YUM.

Um, no, that sounds delicious. A chili-baked potato is one of my favorite things EVER. Saute some onion, then throw in about half a pound of ground beef and cook until browned. Add a can of chili-style stewed tomatoes. We season with chili powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. I have no idea how much I put in, I just go until it's the "right" shade of orange-ish red. Split it between two baked potatoes. Top with monterrey jack cheese.

Crap. Now I'm hungry.

LOL! I like weird stuff, too, sometimes. But sloppy joe filling seems like a perfect baked potato topping.

I loooooooove sloppy joes.  I made the filling and put it over home fries the other night, since I can't do bready squishy buns anymore.  It was definitely good!

That's funny, because last night I called Dominos to see if they had gluten free crust, too!  :D  I know not everyone likes Dominos, but I do.  They do have it, so maybe I'll try it out soon!

I went to the gym today for the first time in forever, so I'm pretty proud of myself.  I am picking up my wedding dress today, I'm pretty excited about that.  Hopefully I won't have any weight fluctuations in the next 16 days.  I am a little nervous about that, since I tend to stress-eat and heaven knows I'm up to my eyeballs in stress right now!
