I *always* weigh myself in the morning, however, I took a rare evening shower tonight and since i was naked and in the bathroom, i hopped on,  :nono: +5. Ugh. Sticking to morning weigh ins :D

My eating has been ok. Not super stellar like the past week, but not bad by any means. So I guess good :) i made another batch of cabbage pad thai for week's lunch and a big pot of hot and sour soup. I tried making pita bread and burger buns tonight. The buns, they were for DD, and they were dense. I took a bite, not bad, but DENSE. The recipe said cut into 8, i could have easily gotten ten i think. The pitas were not bad. A little on the dense side, but i only had white whole wheat flour, not white. They puffed up nicely in the oven. I will definitely experiment with that recipe some more.

I did a lot of stress eating over the weekend, but I'm back on track today so far.  Gotta have something to feel good about.

I definitely went off-plan this weekend - didn't even track at all. It's so hard with meals at something like a work conference or meeting. I did have plenty of fresh fruit and salad whenever it was available. But bigger meals than I am used to, plated full breakfast, 3 course lunches with dessert, buffets for a couple of the dinners, etc. And with a cocktail reception each night and wine at dinner, I also had more drinks than I normally would. I did ok with getting out to run on Friday and Sunday during the windows of free time that I could find - it helped that a great beach location made that very appealing! I couldn't wait to get out there.  :)  So we'll see if there is a bump when I get to Friday's weigh in. I'll try to resist weighing myself before then, so I have a chance to offset it with good choices throughout the rest of this week.

I'm making "pizza casseroles" for our church's soup kitchen this morning, and I keep telling myself that if I eat the pepperoni I'm stealing from the homeless. It's not working.
I don't have time for laundry; I'm trying to have a great life.

 :D

That's too funny.

I would be telling myself that little bites while cooking are part of quality control and don't have any points.

stealing from the homeless :D atleast there is good karma in your pepperonis

I am exhausted. 3 hours doing co-op at DD's school, right to the gym, 50 mins on an EFX machine (? i thought it was an elliptical when i hopped on and was too embarrassed to get off) and now at work for a busy day. I need a nap!!!

Oh, meri I know that horrible feeling!   Grrr!!!

I've been eating like a horse all weekend.  It's taking all my self-control not to utterly stuff myself.  Luckily I have some good meals planned for the week ahead so if I can avoid snacks I will be ok.   I wish I understood better what makes me want to eat until I feel like bursting and still want to eat more.

I would love to know what causes those days where I'm just non-stop hungry.

On the other hand, having been sick all last week, I didn't eat much and was under my daily points pretty much every day. Weird. I think when I'm sick, I also don't really want milky or carby kinds of foods, because they stick in my throat. I tend to eat more fruit and broths and stuff.

So since Thanksgiving I have basically been ping-ponging the same 3-4 pounds back and forth. Now that I have a few weeks with no major celebrations or occasions on my calendar, I'm determined to make the final push for 5 more pounds down to my goal, and then I'll figure out how to maintain.

The trick will be figuring out the best way to eat while training for a half, without going nuts with carbs and stuff and without stuffing myself when I'm hungry after a long run. And I'm planning to swim 1x a week and I always get out of the pool totally ravenous. So I have to make good post-workout food choices.

yeah training and eating without gaining is hard!

Yesterday I was back down a few of those pounds, but seriously, grrrrrr.  :grr:

My coworker said to me yesterday "i've been meaning to tell you that you look so healthy and strong lately" that was nice.

Between the salt cravings and the ankle/leg swelling, the scale is NOT my friend lately. Holy crap.
