I just bought a new point and shoot camera, the Sony W350.  I just wanted a nice thin point and shoot for when I do not want to bring my D70 with me. This thing is nice and thin.

It even does this really cool thing that I will probably never use.  If you set it to take a panoramic and press and hold the shutter, you just turn around up to around 270° and then let go of the shutter.  It puts together all of the images to make a panoramic, even hand held in the store it came out good adjusting for hand movements and lighting while I went.

14.1 Megapixels
Zeiss 4x Optical Zoom w/26mm Wide-Angle
2.7" LCD DisplayOptical
SteadyShot Image Stabilization
Smile ShutterFace Detection
8 Scene Modes
HD Movie Mode
Lithium-ion Battery

How do the pictures look? I'd like a small thin camera just to keep in my purse for quick shots.

It should be delivered tomorrow.  The P/S that I have now is very old and only 2mp and I always thought those pictures where good until the camera got filthy, so this one should be great at 14 mp.  I will post some shots when I get it.

It's so tiny and wonderful.  I took some pictures at the pub yesterday, they came out well.  I will post them once I get them onto the computer.

I love my new camera.  Of course my wife now thinks it is her new camera.  Some pictures from this weekend.  It takes great video too, although hard to keep still.
