What the hell are pickled weiners?
I mean, I can figure out what they are, recipe wise. I guess this is more of a why would anyone do that question.
I don't know. But you cannot walk into a convenience store in Newfoundland and not find a jar of pickled wieners on the counter, for sale individually. Most dive bars also have them for sale. Pickled eggs too.Admittedly, I love pickled eggs. Pickled wieners, not so much.
I obviously need to get out more. I have never even heard of a pickled wiener! Now I kind of feel like I have to try one, just to see if it’s what I’m imagining.
I liked almost everything pickled...but I can't do eggs and wieners. The huge jars sitting on the counter in convenience stores are unappetizing. Now, if someone were to make their own and share with me, then I would try them!
Interesting. They are pretty common at convenience stores in the south too.
Google a photo of "century eggs" and you'll see what the Chinese do to poor, defenseless eggs in a pickling solution.I did try one in Hong Kong and, while it wasn't as horrible as I thought it was going to be, I needn't try another.
I wanted to know how the cooking in NFL is going...
Same. It's fascinating.
