Do people still talk about running here?
So, you may remember I did a dumb thing and signed up for the Dopey Challenge, which includes a marathon. I've been doing training runs 2 days a week of 2-3 miles and increasing my long run up to 7.
Lately my calves, especially my left calf, is tightening up so bad that I have trouble walking on it after. Today I even had to walk it in. I use a roller stick, stretch, strength train. No help.
Years ago I shortened my stride and increased my cadence so I land on my mid foot rather than heal. So, do we think this is a stride issue, or footwear, or something else?
