I made shepherd's pie tonite
« on: October 26, 2015, 01:13:45 PM »
I know it's not real shepherd's pie. I used ground beef. But I still love it. I roast garlic and mash it and add it to the mashed potatoes.
Thank goodness DH likes leftovers because it will be dinner tomorrow again since I made a little too much.

I was going to say, "I only know this because at one time I was married to an Irishman." Then I realized that is not any sort of guarantee :d

I am NOT a vegetarian, and I never knew that.  I guess I never had shepherds pie.

Shepherdess pie is a meat free shepherd's pie. I rarely  hear cottage pie mentioned anymore, and in the uk lamb is hardly ever used for shepherd's pie anymore. Almost always minced beef.
I love a shepherdess pie.
