12 miles.  Was planning on 16 but cut it short because it's so muggy and I felt like crap.  One of my worst runs in awhile!

16.3 miles going from 9,200 at condo, to 8,800 in Winter Park, and then to 10,800, and back. 2,400 ft elev. gain, avg 9:02/mile.

Unfortunately the New England masters championships that were supposed to be today were postponed.  So I got a quality workout in at the track instead.

Jog 800m
10 mins dynamic stretches
150m in 24 secs, walk 200
200m in 36 secs, walk 300
300m in 62 secs, 10 mins rest.

150m in 25 secs, walk 200
200m in 36 secs, walk 300
300m in 60 secs
Jog 800

A second run in the evening. 5k in 26 low. Closed in 1:46 and 7:52. The foot only ached a little.
I should be back to nearly 100% by next weekend.
This is on the same time table as 3 years ago when I stepped on a large rock and sprained my left foot.

In fact, I wonder if the bad sprain might have broken up some scar tissue
and actually did some good.

Since I kinda tapered for the half marathon and took it real easy this last week
I feel like pounding out some fast miles, but I don't think the foot is ready just yet.

As I was walking to the track I came across a turtle laying eggs in a hole it had dug in the trail.
It was right in the middle of the wheel track and ATVs are sure to run over the spot.
i am going to check the internet for advice on whether I can move the eggs
or protect them somehow, and when they should be hatching out.

I took a photo with my crappy cell phone camera.

10 miler today as a long workout. I am training for the Las Vegas Half in November. I want a good time so I am starting to make this a regular thing.
