Treadmill Factory
« on: December 28, 2025, 08:48:56 AM »
Is it any good?  I assume it's a chain and international.

They have crazy boxing week sales and there is what looks like a decent treadmill for $800.  It doesn't have the tech of more expensive ones, but I don't care about that.  I just care that it feels very sturdy and doesn't sound like a herd of elephants.

I'm realizing that if I want to meet my goals I need one.  I've already had to miss days due to weather and road closures and it's only the beginning of winter.

I've never heard of them either. You can usually find free or cheap used treadmills online, it's the kind of investment most people don't make use of. I highly recommend going this route, it's worth the hassle.

When I got a new one this year i had my old one and my wife's old one still and I couldn't get anyone to take them for free even. One of them ended up going for scrap but the other one I just finally found a home for.

Don't know anything about them. I took a look at their website. Their budget Horizon brand I don't think rates very well. I've seen that brand at Canadian Tire, which is probably not a good sign for robust fitness equipment.

My LifeFitness treadmill is 10 years old, and I bought it used, so I'm guessing it's at least 15 years old. But I don't use it much. Maybe 3-6 times a year, when the weather outside is really bad.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Oh boo.  It got really good reviews on their site.

I did get my last TM at Canadian Tire and it was OK.  It still worked when I (regrettably) gave it away.

I've been storm stayed since Sunday.  Roads closed, whiteouts, can't even drive to the gym.  I sure could use a run.  It would be far too dangerous on the road with whiteouts.

Rarely do I wish I lived in the city, but times like this I do.
