A 5k race that was a little over 5K. Finish time 17:51 but it was also a foam run and I wiped out about 10 feet from the finish line and took me 10 seconds to get up lol My watch says I came through 5k in 17:35.

The first 1/4 mile and last 1/4 was in deep wet grass and the rest was in pavement. That's a rough transition and I went out way too fast for it. Weather was perfect though and I took the overall win which is always nice. My next race is a 4 mile trail race at the end of the month.

No, my wife couldn't even see me finish because there was foam six foot deep in the ten yards leading to the finish. As I came around the corner and saw that I thought "Oh this isn't going to be good." It was not. I was just glad no one was in the foam lol

Yikes on the wipeout. Congrats on the win. Did you cross the finish line foaming at the mouth? 

Got my last semi long 16K semi long run in. Victoria marathon next Sunday.
