Saturday July 12th
« on: July 12, 2025, 11:14:22 AM »
Training plan was for 21-25K today, but we have a heat warning out today and for the next few days. Headed out at 8am to try to beat the heat a bit. Lots of runners with the same ideal, as it was extra busy on the running trails. Body was feeling the heat and at about 6K changed my planned route to run closer to home in case I wanted to cut it short. Changing run direction into the breeze made all the difference, and I felt better. Stopped at five water fountains during the run, and managed 19K. I'll take it.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Definitely would be helpful having water fountains along your route on these hot days. Most of my runs are next to a creek I can hear but I wouldn't drink from it, I don't need giardia lol

4.3 hill miles about 86° F and humid. Definitely but off more than I should have after the hills repeats yesterday.

17 miles on a commuter trail, poor air quality from the Manitoba wildfires
