16km out of the blue… on a lark as a last minute commuting choice.
Didn’t expect to be near top form, and also didn’t expect to forget to take extra food. Ended up being about a 2:1 hike:jog but I got the miles in and I got done before dark.
I started early when I had the sense that I’d be not super-motivated to go hard today.
Connected a cool new route using some trails and jeep roads but this was overall over 80% road/concrete.
Back was a little sore, partly because I took a small back pack. Normally would have been “nothing” but with the recovering back issues it did get old after several km.
Last four days have totaled over 26.2 mi combined. Now to just pull it all in to one day and I’m good!
