USATF masters 12K road championships
« on: September 20, 2021, 02:19:02 PM »
Ran the 12K championships on the Jersey shore yesterday (Sandy Hook, in the national recreation area). 45:46 (6:08 per mile), 2nd in age, 88.4% age grade. I came in aiming for about 6:00 pace but just didn't have that gear. It was warm and windy, but that didn't slow a half dozen or so runners who broke American age group records.

Due to the new shoe technology?

Congrats!

Congrats!

That certainly helps, but a couple of those records were shattered. I do think my friend who broke the 65-69 record by 1.5 minutes is somewhat of super-responder to the shoes. He is running better now than any time in the past 5 or years.
